I just can't get on board with this one. It could have been a lot of fun, but the pacing was so fast I grew tried of the structure within a half hour. Then it seemed monotonous to the point of drudgery: it became a chore to finish it. On a positive note, though, it is a fairly unique blend of genres (is anything missed?), including coming-of-age drama, history, slasher, comedy, satire, thriller, sci-fi, time travel, and more. Its commentary on horror culture isn't on par with the
Scream series (especially
Scream 4) but it does do a great job making me extremely sad to witness the vacuity of the current teen population. In any case, this is not skippable, in my opinion, as I think it will work for some; it's definitely worth a watch.
